EK Eyewear recommends many of the leading lenses available in today’s market. We offer the best solution for your lifestyle and optical requirements. Seeing clearly is our top priority for you. By using thin and light weight lenses, we can improve wearing comfort as well as making them look and feel great. Single vision and multifocal lenses are available from Essilor, Hoya, Zeiss and Nikon. We use local laboratories with which we have longstanding relationships. Reflection-free lenses are improving all the time. A coating improves the optical result of your prescription lenses and the Essilor Crizal Forte coating is guaranteed against scratches within two years of purchase.  (We can show you samples of these in store.) The latest generation of Transitions VI lenses are available in most prescriptions. These react to sunlight (UV) and change with different light conditions. On exposure to direct sunlight the lenses go from clear to dark brown or grey. The advantage of wearing these lenses in your glasses is that the eye is protected from harmful UV light, irrespective of what colour state the lens is in.
